Bruce Springsteen is headed for Broadway.
No, he’s not signing up for the lead in “Phantom of the Opera” (though we totally could see him crushing it on the title role), he’ll be performing an eight-week solo show, appropriately titled “Springsteen on Broadway.”
The show plays in preview beginning Oct. 3, with a main run of Oct. 12-Nov. 26 at the 960-seat Walter Kerr Theatre. The show will include songs from throughout his career, Variety reports, and likely include tunes that have not been released or even recorded yet. He’ll also read from portions of his memoir “Born to Run.”
