As a fitness star with one of the most toned figures in Australia, it’s clear Tammy Hembrow has worked extremely hard to retain her physique.

After giving birth to two children, the 23-year-old mother has not been afraid to share the more candid glimpse of the realities of her post-partum body.

And while she has an enviable figure, the social media star, from the Gold Coast, has proved even she has ‘excess skin’ after childbirth.

Taking to Instagram, the fitness queen proudly shared an eye-opening video of her ‘loose skin’ around her washboard abs.

‘Some people ask me how to get rid of loose skin after having a baby without realising I still have it,’ she said.

‘Loose skin is pretty much inevitable after having babies.’

The young entrepreneur, who runs her own fitness empire and fashion label, revealed her simple tips on how to tackle loose skin.

‘Eating clean, moisturising, staying hydrated, and working out before, during and after pregnancy can help,’ she said.

‘Whether you have stretch marks and loose skin, just know that there’s nothing wrong with it. 

‘It shows what your body has been through so you should choose to embrace it.’

She explained the key to be the healthiest versions of yourself include hard work, good nutrition, consistency and patience.

Last November, she told Daily Mail Australia she was struggling to find time to go to the gym due to her demanding schedule. 

‘It’s been hard for me to get to the gym everyday. I currently go around four times a week and do intense weights,’ Tammy said. 

‘I love doing workouts from my booty program using the leg press and cable machines.’

Despite not going as much as she would like, Tammy follows a strict diet and she’s on a mission to demonstrate eating more, not less, is how you get results.

‘Lean protein, healthy fats, protein shakes, and complex carbohydrates such as brown rice, oatmeal and potatoes are key,’ she said.

‘I eat every two to three hours. Majority of it is what you eat. You should be eating for your specific goals – it’s not one size fits all.

‘You can gain or lose weight while working out depending on how you fuel your body.’
